Alvaro (Josue) V.

Josue is 11 years old and is in 3rd Grade at the Tuichim 1 elementary school. He attends school every morning with homework given to him for the afternoons. He loves the way that he is being taught and eventually wants to become a teacher himself. Math is his favorite subject. Josue is the third of four children who are only supported by their mother who works as a local launderess in Tuichim. In his free time, he likes to play soccer with his schoolmates, neighbors and brothers or enjoy his pet dog Luly and cat Gris. Josue thinks that a Xela Aid scholarship would help his family financially and allow him to study and be successful at school.
