
Daylin V.
Daylin is 13 years old and in her first year at the Santo Domingo middle school in the Boca Costa area of San Martin Sacatepequez. She goes to school every afternoon and her favorite course is communication and language. Her dream is to qualify as a doctor and be able to improve the lives of people in need. She is the eldest of 4 children. Daylin’s father provides for his family by working as a bricklayer in Quetzaltenango and a total of 13 family members live in his mother’s house. Daylin’s younger sister has a diagnosis of autism and attends the Xela Aid Special Needs program.
During her free time, Daylin likes to review her schoolwork, or play soccer which is her favorite sport. She has a cat called Nube and a dog called Boby. She said that a Xela Aid scholarship will help her fulfill her dreams and give her the opportunity to help others.
