Miguel (Miguelito) G.

Miguelito, who is 11 years old, comes from the Tuichim 1 village, where he attends 2nd grade classes every morning. Due to his diagnosis of paralysis, he is one of our Xela Aid Special Needs students and we provide him with specialized physical therapy for stimulation of his body. He loves painting at school and eventually wants to qualify as a doctor because he admires those who choose this profession.
He is the fourth of six children, and one of 8 people that live in the family home. His father is an agricultural worker and the sole breadwinner. Miguelito thinks that life is beautiful. In his free time, he likes to play ball with his brother, and he also enjoys going to church on Sundays with his family. He believes that if he had the opportunity of a scholarship, he would have a chance of making his dreams come true and that his family would be proud of him.
